My name is Melissa, I’m 29 years old and I live in Amsterdam, where I work from my small and cozy studio.

Macramé is a part of me now, but the idea of macramé began with my dear friend Maria. She created a piece for me, before leaving for a very long time. That gesture inspired me, and I fell in love with the idea of creating macramé pieces for others, that are made with love and positive energy. I truly believe you can feel that energy in every finished piece, and that it can also change the energy of the room it is in.

Macramé became an important way for me to express my feelings as well. Every creation starts with a single idea in my mind, and I let my intuition guide me. Sometimes it ends up completely different than I first imagined, but it always becomes exactly how it is meant to be. I carefully select materials and craft each piece with love, patience, inspired by the shapes and colors of nature.

My wish is that each piece carries the love and good energy I felt while creating it, straight to the person who receives it!
